The children were able to marvel at a number of interesting animals such as Dalmatian isopods, some Madagascar hissing cockroaches, a praying mantis, a tarantula and a millipede at close range.

At first, some of the children were a little hesitant - a slight disgust was palpable. But with each exciting explanation from Alexander Röck, the initial skepticism turned into great interest and amazement. He took a lot of time, patiently answered all the questions and explained the important roles these animals play in nature in a child-friendly way.

The highlight of the day was the king python. Those who dared were even allowed to stroke it carefully - an exciting experience, and not just for the children!
